Fire Danger Season

As the Fire Danger Season approaches (start date Dec 1), we want to make sure all our customers watch for the new fire danger ratings as applied to the Mt Lofty Ranges. Although we won't see weather in the 'Extreme' or 'Catastrophic' range until later in the season, now is a good time to get in the habit of checking the night before you plan that trip through the Hills. When the predicted weather does hit those extreme ratings, the shop won't be open - we hope you understand. If you would like more info, give us a call or chat with us in-store (or check out the article on pg 3 of this week's Courier). You can get more info about the ratings and what they mean at www.cfs.sa.gov.au.
Anyway, probably a good opportunity to make sure you take advantage of our extended December hours - see you soon.

'Tis the season

Dare I say, Christmas is just around the corner! You will have even more opportunities to come and see us in December with longer trading hours - from December 1 our new hours will be:
Monday-Saturday 9am-5.30pm
Sunday 10am-4pm
We will be closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day (sorry!) but we welcome you with open arms and festive grins on every other day.
Ho, Ho, Hope to see you soon (too cheesy? Probably.)

Books galore

Keep an eye out - now is the time to be making frequent visits to the shop! We've got a lot of great stuff to put on the shelves which we'll be processing over the next couple of weeks. You will want to pay particular attention to our collectibles cabinet, which is bursting at the seams, especially with Christmas around the corner. It's time to treat somebody special (yourself??).

Thankyou!!! (or "Phew, it's over!")

Yes, a big thankyou to the hundreds of people who attended our sale on the weekend - it was great to see the smiles on people's faces as they grabbed some great bargains and found the sort of stuff they never really thought they would ever find! (But geez, it's a lot of work!)
Thanks also to all those who helped out - Willy (there is only one!), Sayed, Sebastian, Jonty, Anna, Durin, Saiko (hope I spelt everyone's name right) and a special thanks to the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters for providing such an excellent venue (what a buzz).
